Looking for
creating panoramic pictures such as these?

Well, one can now create such fab panoramic pictures, thanks to a fantastic technology
called GigaPan (Gigapixel Panorama) and fantastic website (www.gigapixel.com).
The GigaPan system
(Gigapixel Panorama) is a NASA spinoff technology that can capture thousands of
digital images and weave them into a uniform high-resolution picture. The
technology is the product of a two-year collaboration between Carnegie Mellon
University and NASA Ames Intelligent Robotics Group, with support from Google.
The process allows
users to share and explore brilliant gigapixel panoramas. While most 360°
virtual worlds are composed with less than 20 images stitched together, a 360°
Gigapan is created using at least 70 images, thus the quality of final product
would be much better than the other virtual worlds.
This technology
can be used in various fields like architecture, astronomy, science, research
& education, journalism, tourism, real estate, sports, sales/ marketing
& promotions etc…
Cheers!!!!
